T H E I M I T A T I O N G A M E

     As requested by my lecture . she asked the whole class watch this movie as a part our assignment.To be honest am a person do not like watch movie. Almost one year I do not watch movie. So am struggle to focus and concentrate because a last I need to write 500 word base on the story line.

        

        THE IMITATION GAME . First of all when am heard about the movie name, on my mind I’m think is going be soo boring movie , I might be sleeping , but it totally wrong. This movie really motivate me . The main atress is Alan Turing. He‘s  proficient in mathematic. He believe he can solve the Enigma Code using the mathematic concept during the Second World War. He deside to travels to Bletchley Park and joins the cryptography team . Eventhought at first people don’t believe on him, but because he believe he can , so he is determined to prove that he can broke the code .Turing is difficult to work with, considering his colleagues inferior, and spends his time designing a machie to decipher Enigma. After Denniston refuses to fund construction of the machine Turing writes to Prime Minister Winston Churchill who puts Turing in charge of the team and funds the machine. Turing fires Furman and Richards and places a difficult crossword in newspapers to find replacements.Joan Clarke , a Cambridge graduate, surpasses Turing’s test but her parents will not allow her to work with the male cryptographers. Turing arranges for her to live and work with the female clerks who intercept the messages, and shares his plans with her.

        Firstly ,Base on this movie I learned and I need to apply to myself , is we have do believe on yourself because when you know you can do it , you have to prove to people ,is you . Even though they might said you a crazy or you are too stupid to success but , come on they just look on you, and see you’re stupid or wasting ur time  When I was took my SPM , people don’t believe me that I might have A during SPM . But I belive I can. Jeng jeeeeng,Yeahh I did it. I got A’s ,to be honestly I proud to myself  , I got A in difficult subject ,which is  mathematis and science . Starting from that am always belive , when we really work hard for it , it will show the good result.Same goes on design , even though you don’t know to sketch , just practice day by day . one day you  people can impress on your sketches.

        Secondly is , Joan Clarke touch Alan Turing about when you’re working in group you need your group member to help you. As we know Alan Turing is difficult to work with other . On the first he was not successful because he working alone. He canged. The best part is when he gave an apple to a group member while he talking too much .That’s the funny part .Because that is the first time he did something  polite to people. When you become a leader you need other to work for you to make it success. That a lesson I learned .Why we need each other on grouping ?? Because we don’t have a same brain . The way we’re thingking , base on an understanding , the idea ,is not same. So that, when you have a group we need to sit together and discuss base on the topic , sharing , develop the idea , it really help you to get the good result.

        Third is , during Alan Turing and other group member already broke the code , they knew which place the enemy wants to attack . But Alan Turing not to tell the supervisor to change the place because if the enemy know they already know they  broke a code , it just wasting the time for a few mounth they stuggle with it . This scene make me open my mind , which is we need to think far while doing something . Not just because one thing it can destroy everything. Is same goes on design , when you design a space we need to think far and detail , for example , we need to consider about comfort , safety and financing too.

For this semester 3 ,the lecture was chosen Ipoh as our location..Since this is my first time joined the college trip i feel excited but an actually it just pass by when am going back to hometown. For our trip it took 4 day 3 night . I feel so excited and i want share amazing time that i had at Ipoh.

Day 1 

For our trip,the first destination was at HERITAGE MUSEUM . Basically the Heritage Museum is a coffee shop .They sell traditional Chinese tea ,but they still showing old unique stuff .

In this heritage musuem,they have a beautiful antique tea pot design , old furniture ,and other unique stuff

The next destinatinal is Argo Bazaar which is the place that they doing labu sayong. You also can try to make your own pot with any design you want .Plus you can se the process to make labu sayong.

After a whole day walking, finally reached the hotel around 6.30 . Here Ipoh Boutique Hotel,is located a new town , is an affordable and convenient facilities.

        When people start talking about art and design .They give hundred and one perspective and idea about the different between art and design . People might be argue about that . But for me it’s not the important point who’s the right or who’s wrong. For me if you really think you want be a part of designer , you should have a knowledge HOW TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM . How the problem work it in industry ? How to solve in short time ? That’s why on my mind I choose the article that realate to my point.

        I choose the article by Craig Rusbult to support my point . Firstly he said , problem is any situation where you have an opportunity to make a difference, and make things better . I agree with his statement , because the problem can be anything , its not just about art or design . But it can be about food , economic , or fesyen. For example, you have a perfectionist client . He ask you to design the playground on middle of he house . It sound like crazy , but he want . We know when it realate about children .They have a lot of thing to consense about , such as the material we have to choose base on their safety , the colour that might attract them . The balancing about the house design area and playground , Here you brain start identify about the problem matter .

        After we identify the problem .We need to solve it . That‘s the important thing in reality . Problem solving is converting an actual current situation (the NOW-state) into a desired future situation (the GOAL-state). How to make it more clearly and easy to solve ?? The point give by Craig Rusbult is base on your experience and principles . They have three way to make you more understand , it is experiment , knowledge and evidence + logic . Based on the experience and principle that you learned in school or working with the contractor or company , you should apply it , to solve the problem . I might took the example base on the problems I wrote . Firstly about the material that designer need to condense ,because of their safety . For example the designer apply the poured rubber surface for the flooring . It not only consensus about children but it look nice when apply at living room.

        Conclusion is ,you can be designed or artistic .but in order to be ,you should know to solve the problem.That make you success in your carrier. But now day , people just design something amazing on the paper,but when in a reality , It just like a dream. Think about that,designer !!!

My favorite festival celebration

The Water Festival is the New Year's celebrations that take place in Southeast Asian countries such as Burma , Cambodia , Laos , and Thailand. It is called the 'Water Festival' by Westerners because people splash / pour water at one another as part of the cleansing ritual to welcome the new year. Traditionally people gently sprinkled water on one another as a sign of respect, but as the new year falls during the hottest month in South East Asia, many people end up dousing strangers and passersby in vehicles in boisterous celebration. The act of pouring water is also a show of blessings and good wishes. It is believed that on this Water Festival, everything old must be thrown away, or it will bring the owner bad luck.

Basically,based on my understanding , Rapid sketch is a fast design drawing on paper . There have three thing need to be concerned during sketching , such as line , proportion and perspective ( angle ).On my drawing , it described about my design idea which is PANDAN .
